Source: IDMC Global Internal Displacement Database (GIDD); Natural Earth country boundaries
Methodology: Displacement counts are aggregated by country and year. Dust-like particles are sampled inside country polygons (area-weighted clusters) with opacity and count scaled by log-normalized displacement.
How to read: Larger, brighter particle fields indicate higher displacement in that year. Use the year slider or play control to see how patterns shift over time.
